St George launches NZ Superbank

(New Zealand) - Australia's fifth ranked bank, St George, has launched its Superbank project in New Zealand with the country's biggest grocery chain, Foodstuffs. Superbank has launched with an internet and phone based account, with the next step the installation of SuperBank ATM's in Foodstuffs' stores.

The Superbank accounts operate on a "no-frills" model, with no fees, fixed terms or minimum balances, and with a variable interest rate of 5.29 percent.
