St George underpins The Rock growth aims

(6 December 2006 – Australia) The Rock Building Society has teamed up with St George Bank, inking an agreement that will allow it to provide its customers with St George products and services. This includes full service banking, and commercial and institutional business banking products.

The Rock chief executive officer Derek Lightfoot said the building society recognised the need to align with a partner of similar cultural values in order to underpin its retail and commercial growth objectives.

"St George, with a strong product suite and specialised financial services expertise, is well positioned to partner The Rock," Lightfoot said.

"The agreement will enable us to build stronger relationships with our business customers by offering them additional products and specialist capabilities within a short time frame," he said.
