StanChart Announces New Sustainability Strategy Head

(30 June 2023 - Singapore) Standard Chartered has appointed Dana Barsky as global head of sustainability strategy and net zero, following her role as global head of sustainable finance at Credit Suisse.

She holds more than 25 years of corporate finance, M&A, and sustainability experience, according to Standard Chartered.

Most recently, Barsky was the president of Growth for Good, a publicly listed special purpose acquisition company which is said to focus on inclusive, innovative and sustainable companies with strong business fundamentals and high growth potential.

Prior to that, Barsky held sustainability roles at Credit Suisse, including global head of sustainable finance.

Barsky is expected to drive the bank’s key sustainability agenda items, including overseeing Standard Chartered’s delivery of its net zero commitments across scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions.

She is also tasked with accelerating sustainability integration across the group’s global business, and further developing sustainability-related relationships across the public and private sectors.

Barsky will be based in Singapore and reports to Marisa Drew, group chief sustainability officer (CSO), and becomes a member of the CSO Management Team.
