Standard Chartered Names New Head of Global Subsidiaries

(12 January 2024 - Singapore) Standard Chartered has named ex-Citi banker Stella Choe as head of global subsidiaries.

Choe will be based in Singapore. She joins from Citi, where she was most recently the head of global network banking for APAC.

Choe brings over 25 years of banking experience into the role, having worked across a broad geographic coverage across Asia Pacific, Europe/ Middle East/ Africa, and North America.

According to Citi, Choe has a depth of experience in managing corporates, loan syndications, global subsidiaries and financial institutions businesses at JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, HSBC and Citi.

Choe will replace Saif Malik, who is now CEO, UK and regional head of client coverage, UK & Europe at Standard Chartered.
