Taipei and Singapore tying the brokers knot

Taipei and Singapore tying the brokers knot

(Taiwan) - The Taiwan Stock Exchange is planning to renew its plan to carry out cross-border trading with its Singapore counterpart. The plan still needs the approval of various Government agencies including Taiwan's Central Bank - no timetable has been as yet confirmed.

The Exchange sees that, with Taiwan's acceptance into the World Trade Organisation, the time is right as part of its goal of "internationalising" business in Taiwan to renew cross-border trading with Singapore.
