TD bank announces seven day banking

(14 October 2010 – USA)The Toronto-Dominion Bank (TD) is increasing hours and introducing seven day banking at its branches across the country, the bank said Thursday. Beginning the 13th February 2011, more than 300 TD Canada Trust branches in almost 90 communities across Canada will serve customers seven days a week, including Sundays from noon to 4 p.m. This means that some branches will be open for business as many as 72 hours a week.

Kerry Peacock, executive vice president, branch banking, TD Canada Trust said that the bank has been the leader in convenient hours among banks for more than 30 years.

TD already has the longest banking hours in the country, 50 percent more than our competitors, and soon we’ll have branches open to serve customers all week long, when it’s convenient for them, Mr Peacock added.

With this move TD is pleased to offer our customers an additional day to do their banking, pay their bills, seek financial advice and apply for a loan or a mortgage-whatever they need to do, highlighted Mr Peacock.
