UBS to expand presence in Hong Kong

UBS to expand presence in Hong Kong

(18 June 2015 – Hong Kong) UBS is expanding its presence in Hong Kong, with a new office in Kowloon due to open in early 2016.

UBS's first office outside Hong Kong's central business district will support the provision of wealth management services to entrepreneurs and other client segments in Kowloon and the New Territories.

"High net worth entrepreneurs in Kowloon represent a significant and largely untapped opportunity for UBS.

“Underscoring our commitment in Hong Kong, the location is an ideal base from which to reach clients based in both Kowloon and the New Territories," said Amy LO, head of UBS Wealth Management Greater China, and Country head of UBS Hong Kong.

UBS Wealth Management is the largest wealth manager in Asia Pacific in terms of invested assets, and the region remains one of the fastest growing for both the Wealth Management business and the UBS Group.

The new office will present significant opportunities for UBS to expand strategically in the Hong Kong domestic market and enhance its offering to clients there.

"Entrepreneurs remain the life-blood of Hong Kong's success and have always been a key client segment for UBS.

“Typically, they require advice not only for personal investments but also with regard to business expansion, wealth succession, and retirement planning.

“Our integrated bank offering is well placed to cater for these needs with a holistic range of products and services," said Lo.
