Australian software group wins big Indian contract
(Australia) - Sydney based software provider Financial Network Services (FNS) has won 20 percent of a A$100 million project with the State Bank of India (SBI).
FNS, along with partners Hewlett Packard and local Indian giant Tata Consulting will supply the SBI with its core banking software platform, along with hardware and implementation services.
SBI has 70 million accounts in 13,000 branches in 51 countries.
The deal is one of the biggest ever software export contracts for an Australian company.
