BNP Paribas Securities Services appoints tax counsel
(1 November 2005 – Australia) BNP Paribas Securities Services has appointed Vera Markovski to the new position of senior tax counsel.
Markovski will report to head of Risk, Control and Finance, Nicolas Faust, and work with risk and compliance managers and business controllers to ensure compliance with the company’s operational risk framework.
Before joining BNP Paribas Securities Services, Markovski worked as taxation principal at Deloitte Tax Services where she managed clients across a range of industries including financial services.
She previously worked at the Australian Taxation Office where she developed strategies for minimising risk as well as providing advice and direction on policy issues with business units and Treasury.
Faust said Markovski’s expertise and experience made her the ideal person for the role.
