CBA names new strategy head

CBA names new strategy head

(21 March 2007 – Australia) Commonwealth Bank has appointed McKinsey and Company partner and New Zealand head, Ian Narev, as group head of Strategy. Narev has held the position at McKinsey since 2005 and been with the company since 1998, working in Auckland and New York.

He will report directly to CBA chief executive Ralph Norris, and lead the bank’s strategic team and direction.

"He [Narev] is a high calibre executive with strong corporate and business unit strategic experience in many areas, including financial services in the United States, Australia and New Zealand," Norris said.

Narev starts with the bank in May.
