Cooper leaves mortgages to head new ANZ Institutional business

(15 June 2006 – Australia) ANZ has appointed Chris Cooper as managing director of the newly created Debt and Transaction Services within the Institutional business. Debt and Transaction Services combines ANZ’s Trade and Transaction Services and Debt Products Group.

In a newly created role, Cooper will bring ANZ Institutional’s vanilla debt product and transaction services together as well as focussing on the bank’s working capital solutions offering.

Cooper has been managing director of ANZ Mortgages for the past four years. He has a strong background in foreign exchange, capital markets and balance sheet management.

Michael Campbell will be acting managing director of Mortgages while an internal and external search is conducted for Cooper’s replacement.
