Deutsche poaches HSBC China chief
(20 May 2016 – China) Germany’s largest lender, Deutsche Bank, has announced that Frank Fang will lead its Chinese corporate banking operations.
Fang has joined Deutsche from competitor HSBC, where he held the same position. He spent 25 years with that bank, holding a variety of senior positions across product and client coverage.
His new responsibilities include managing the onshore and offshore corporate banking teams and client relationships. He will oversee all China corporate strategy.
Fang will report to Oliver Brinkmann, head of corporate finance for North Asia and Sanjiv Vohra, Asia Pacific head. He will also report to chief country officer for China, Feng Gao.
Brinkmann said of the appointment: “We are very excited to welcome Frank to Deutsche Bank, and have no doubt that his unparalleled experience combined with our best-in-class coverage and product platforms will position us exceptionally well to further grow our China business.”
