East & Partners appoints new head of Research Sales
(12 March 2007 – Australia) East & Partners has appointed Damien Bechly as head of Research Sales, responsible for developing and growing the firm’s research and advisory client base.
Bechly has joined East from Bendigo Bank where he headed up Trade Finance for
NSW. Whilst at Bendigo, he was instrumental in growing the group’s international
trade services division, following the bank’s merger with First Australian
Building Society in 2001/02.
Bechly was Queensland credit manager for Cassa Commerciale, formerly Monte Paschi, which was acquired by Bendigo in 1997.
Prior to this, Bechly enjoyed a 16 year career with National Australia Bank, where he worked in transaction, business and international banking in Queensland and Victoria.

I’m confident my varied banking experience and sales focus will assist in delivering East’s analytics and market insights to an even wider client base," Bechly said.
