Get blogging banks
(15 August 2007 – USA) Banks should get with it and start their own internet blog sites to respond quickly and informally to customer inquiries, according to a US company.
US outfit Javelin said financial Institutions needed to realise that brand management, customer-centricity and loyalty could be strengthened through a blog at relatively little cost, but only if the new rules are understood by established bankers.
If they don’t establish a blog, banks risk losing control of what’s being said about them in the blogosphere.
In the US less than one percent of financial institutions currently have a blog.
According to Javelin, banks must not miss out on a way to positively impact their brand through what is a unique online communication channel.
