NAB Gaining Ground

NAB Gaining Ground

(2nd July 2008 – Australia) East & Partners’ has released the latest Business Banking Customer Satisfaction Monitor (BBCSM) for May 2008. East’s BBCSM is based on interviews with 850 business customers every month (10,200 annually) turning over between A$5 and 500 million per annum.

The latest report shows that NAB clearly lead the satisfaction ratings of the Big 4 banks with a latest rating of 6.10 (using a scale where 0 is ‘very dissatisfied and 10 is ‘very satisfied’). This is in comparison to CBA who continue to languish in last position in terms of overall satisfaction with a rating of just 3.89.

Overall, the Regional Banks continue to lead the way with a score of 6.74 though second placed St George has suffered their first decline in overall satisfaction, albeit marginally from 6.20 to 6.18.

However, arguably of greater significance for St George is the fact that NAB are catching up fast and if this trend continues, NAB is expected to take second position very soon.

The June 2008 release of this report is due later this month and will continue to analyse customer satisfaction metrics amongst business banking customers.
