Strong first half for Milton Corp

(2 February 2005 – Australia) Australian investment company Milton Corp has posted a A$26.7 million net profit for the six months to December 2004. The company said its profit grew 20.4 percent on the back of many Australian companies reporting strong earnings growth and the increasingly high dividends they were paying out.

Milton chairman Robert Millner said the company had benefited from its diversified portfolio of long term investments.

The company said it had some A$50 million available for investment at the end of December, 2004.

Sydney based Milton invests in shares and securities of other companies and has been ASX listed since 1958.
