Supply Chain Finance Insight in focus at London Market Briefing

Supply Chain Finance Insight in focus at London Market Briefing

(3 March 2017 – United Kingdom) Due to its attractive role and importance in corporate off-balance sheet funding, supply chain finance has been attracting intense interest in the last few years, and particularly in relation to the contribution it can make to enhancing traditional trade financing by banks.  Adding to this focus has been the growing role of FinTech in this space, with 2016 seeing the first real-world application of blockchain technology in a trade and supply chain finance transaction.

In East’s 2017 Global Banking Markets Outlook (available for download here) Principal Analyst Paul Dowling noted that: “CFOs, treasurers and business owners are increasingly asking for guidance from their relationship banks in a rapidly changing environment; banks that respond and deliver insight-driven value into their corporate relationships will win”.

To meet these needs and help clients navigate these waters East is in the next month:

  • publishing its first Global Supply Chain Finance Report at the end of March, providing coverage, of Supply Chain management across the large corporate and MNC segments of eight international markets.
  • extending coverage of East’s existing Trade Finance Markets research programs into Africa and the Gulf States.
  • hosting a Private Market Briefing in London – an invitation-only event, being held on 28th March, designed to help business unit heads, product leaders and lead marketing roles navigate opportunities in supply chain, cross-border payments and Business FX markets in a post-Brexit world.  Click for further information on this event and how to attend.

Here’s an example of what’s happening in the world’s fastest growth supply chain market – South East Asia.
