New CIO for CSFB asset management business

(3 June 2005 – UK) Credit Suisse Asset Management has appointed Duncan Avery as its global head of global head of Information Technology. Avery has joined CSAM from Aviva owned Morley Fund Management, where he was global IT director. Before this, Avery worked at Citigroup and HSBC Asset Management.

CSAM chief financial officer, Lawrence Haber, said Avery would play an important role in ensuring the business fully leverages its technology platform.

"His experience will serve us well as we pursue our objective of delivering superior investment performance to our clients," he said.

CSAM is the asset management arm of Credit Suisse First Boston and has more than ₤564 billion in assets under management.
